Animals
should be treated with the same respect as people.
That is an indisputable fact
that animals, historically,
are considered to be inferiors. People began to abuse their provision and treat
without respect for animals. Nowadays, people are too violent and animals are
suffered a lot, however, there are also a lot of merciful and honorable
persons. We often forget that animals are not only subordinate; they are our
support and friends. However, the views differ, therefore, this issue is supposed
to be controversial.
In my
opinion, animals should be treated with the same respect as people, as they are
living creatures that, as we, have feelings and conscience. They can become
people’s best friends and teach to some crucial things in our life- to be
responsible and intelligent. Animals often help people and it will be difficult
to imagine our life without animals. For instance, in police there are special
dogs- hounds that help policemen to find a criminal or even to save children.
Moreover, a perfect example of their intelligence and nobility is the fact that
there are a lot of pets that are specially trained in order to help blind or
deaf people.
Nevertheless,
there are some people who have strong conviction that animals must not be
treated with the same respect as people, because they are uncontrolled and they
can strike us. People announce some facts, situations in support of their
argument, most of these situations were in circus. For example, Aleksey
Makarenko is a famous trainer who was attacked by lions and saved by the bell.
People convince that animals are aggressive and we cannot guess when and on whom
they will show their aggression.
As for me, I
agree in part with this argument, but we cannot omit that animals often become
aggressive due to our behavior towards them. A striking example of our bad
treatment can be seen in a circus. Animals are trained in harsh and strict
conditions. Trainers sometimes can be even violent and dismissive. These actions
are a cause of their aggression.
To sum up,
animals must be treated with the same respect as people. They help us a lot and
deserve to be respectable.
