3. This session caught my attention immediately as in
recent days I have heard too much news about LGBT. According to statistics LGBT
students suffer from violence at school more often than non-LGBT students. Also
students who are perceived not to conform to gender norms report a high
prevalence of humiliation. In Spain as in some European countries this problem
remains urgent. Speaker retold us a Spanish film “My inner boy” and gave other
examples of LGBT that had to keep quiet and shut up about their true identity.
They eager to be recognized and to express themselves.

It
would be interesting to know are there any special schools for LGBT.
Hello Tereza,
ОтветитьУдалитьthanks for choosing to watch this session and expressing your opinion about it. Have you watched this film? If yes, what's your opinion about it?
Are you familiar with the treatment of LGBT students in Russia? Does it differ from that described in the presentation? What do you think we should do for such attitudes to change?
УдалитьYou have written that "Speaker retold us a Spanish film “My inner boy”": there are 2 problems with it. First, the definite article is necessary before the word "speaker" because you've mentioned a specific speaker. Also, the pattern "The speaker retold us " is common for Russian; in English you should use some non-reflective reporting verb. Here is a list of reporting verbs I advise you to look through to be able to report what the others have to say in a more varied way: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/al/globalpad/openhouse/academicenglishskills/grammar/reportingverbs/
