The story written by Anastasia Vins and Tereza Zhamkotsyan.
“Court is in session”, said the judge, “Gloria Brown, a victim of crime, please, stand up and testify.” She slowly went to the tribune and started talking: “Well… It happened a month ago, on the 24th of September. I was coming home after work and decided to get a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop on the 6th Avenue. When I was waiting for my order, he sat in front of me and started a nice talk. He seemed to me quite friendly and even a little bit shy.” “Tell in details what you were talking about“, said the lawyer. “Nothing important. He just complimented me and asked me for a little walk. I agreed”, she sobbed and continued speaking, “Since that day, every evening he met me after work, but on the 5th of November he didn’t come. So I decided to track down his location by his phone and saw that he was at his country house. I tried to call him but he didn’t answer. I thought it would be a nice idea to surprise him. I bought a bottle of wine and arrived to him. The door was open, so I came in without knocking.” She started crying. The judge asked her to continue speaking. “The house was empty. I… oh… I saw a tuft of long dark hair and knife on the kitchen table and a huge puddle of blood. I wanted to go away, but I accidently dropped a bottle of wine and he came into the room. I tried to hide my feelings. Firstly, he acted normally; however, when I started backing up, he captured and dragged me to the basement. He locked the cellar. I turned around and saw a woman whose hair was at the same color which a saw in the kitchen. Fortunately, I told Jenny, my friend, where I was going and she called the police on the next day, because I was absent at work. And then…”, the judge interrupted Gloria and said: “That’s enough. Thank you, Gloria. Take your seat.”
After a two hour of court hearing Larry Smith, accused of raping and killing seven victims, was sentenced to thirty years of imprisonment. Gloria returned to a normal life trying to forget this horrible story until she found out that Larry escaped from prison…

Hello Tereza and Nastya.
ОтветитьУдалитьThanks for sharing your story with your peers and me. It's very emotional and disturbing. Did you enjoy writing it? Did you discover something you did not realise before about the process of writing? Was writing this story different in any way from writing some other works you had during the course of study? Do you think such tasks are useful? Could you explain?
